Examples of Conveyor belt

Few Instances of use of conveyors being used in our daily life.
Conveyors are used widely in our day today lives. Technology has made conveyors more advanced and the use of conveyors has made our work much more easier. As an integral material handling equipment conveyors transport heavy to very delicate items with great efficiency. In packaging industry the whole system of packaging a product form beginning to end depends upon these efficient conveyor systems.

One of the most common examples of conveyor in our day today life is the rolling stair or escalators that we use in shopping malls or huge complexes to move from one floor to another. Another great example of conveyor system is the treadmill used for exercising. Conveyor belts are widely used in check points of airport and railway stations to check the luggage passing through metal detectors.

Advantages of Material Handling Equipments

Manual Jobs are tiring, unlike humans machines are more efficient as they do not tire out and do not need breaks to recharge energy levels. A machine like material handling equipment can work continuously without breaks and save plenty of time and money.
Transporting a container requires only one person to handle the crane, unlike before when it may have required up to 10 people to carry a single container.

Therefore material handling equipments are not only efficient in terms of speed, it is more cost effective and surpasses human limitations of age, tiredness and power. A crane can lift tones of weight easily whereas too many humans  will be required to lift the same weight in absence of a crane.

Conveyor belt and its uses

Conveyor belts are widely used in many industries for transporting material. Conveyors are widely used in food and package industry for transporting raw and finished materials
Conveyor belts are basically wide belts joined together in the loop. The loop is attached to two wheels called rotors which are spun continuously by motors.
As a rotor turns, the conveyor belt will turn as well due to the intense friction between the rotor wheel and the belt. This turning motion of the rotor causes one side of the belt to move in one direction, while the other moves in the opposite direction. Both the rotors move in the same direction to move the conveyor belt.

Conveyors are of different type like pneumatic conveyor, belt conveyor, spiral conveyor, etc.
Conveyor Manufacturers  have in depth knowledge of conveyors and can suggest you the kind of conveyor required by your industry according to your need.
